Devotees Flock from All Directions to Pay Respects to Luang Pu Sila During Long Holiday

Devotees poured in from all directions to pay respects to "Luang Pu Sila Sirichanto" during the long holiday. Former Thai boxer "Wan Chalerm" also brought his family to seek blessings and cleanse bad luck after being assaulted by gangsters during Songkran, an incident that made headlines.

On 2 May 2026 GMT+7, reporters reported that during the four-day long holiday from Labor Day to Coronation Day, devotees from all over were seen flocking in great numbers to pay homage and seek blessings from Phra Thep Watchara Thamm Sophon, also known as Luang Pu Sila Sirichanto, at Suan Tham Piti Temple, Ban Kaepe, Chiang Kruea Subdistrict, Mueang District, Kalasin Province.

Devotees told the special reporter in Kalasin Province that Luang Pu is currently in excellent health, unlike most people in their 80s. His health is like that of a young man. However, the disciples do not want Luang Pu to accept invitation ceremonies too often. Still, it is Luang Pu's own wish, as he said, "Since my followers have come all this way to pay respects, how can I just stay in the monk's quarters? I must come out to receive and bless them."

Today, it was also noted that "Wan Chalerm," a famous former Thai boxer, came with a large group of family and friends to pay respects and seek blessings from Luang Pu. He said that during the recent Songkran festival, he was attacked by gangsters, ten to one, which became widely reported. Taking advantage of this good opportunity today, he came to pay respects and seek blessings to wash away bad luck, hoping that from now on only good things, good people, and positive events would come into his life.
