Second Army Region Reports Loud Noise in Chong Krang Area Originating from Cambodia, Investigations Ongoing

Second Army Region reported a loud noise incident in the area "Chong Krang" Phanom Dong Rak District, Surin Province. The origin is on the Cambodian side, approximately 10-15 km from the border. Authorities are investigating the cause and confirm no damage or injuries to Thai personnel.

It was reported that the Facebook pageSecond Army Regionposted a message reporting the loud noise on 10 July 2026 at 20:43 GMT+7. In the Chong Krang area, Phanom Dong Rak District, Surin Province, stating that

the Second Army Region checked with the task force responsible for the Chong Krang area and found that the loud noise came from deep inside Cambodia, about 10-15 kilometers from the border. The source of the noise is under investigation. Our side has no personnel injured or damage to the area.

If there are further developments, we will inform the public to prevent panic or concern about incidents near the border. This is to inform everyone accordingly.
