Raid on Korat Entertainment Venue Finds No License, Allows 13 Underage Patrons

Nakhon Ratchasima administrative officers, joined by police, raided an entertainment venue in Muang district operating without a license to provide services and sell alcoholic beverages, where 13 patrons under 20 years old were found using the facility.

At 00:30 on 13 July 2026, a special operations unit from Nakhon Ratchasima's administrative office launched an inspection of a venue in Muang district after receiving complaints from residents about illegal operation without a license, exceeding permitted hours, and allowing minors to enter.

Under the direction of Governor Anupong Suksamanit, Deputy Governor Ballang Waitsiri, and Provincial Secretary Boontem Kalyapanich, the head of provincial prevention Surasak Khantee led the special administrative operations team along with Muang district Chief Shinakorn Kaenkong, Pho Klang Police Station Superintendent Patcharadon Kharin, and local administrative officers to jointly inspect the targeted establishment.

Before the raid, officers conducted undercover surveillance of the venue and confirmed it operated as an entertainment establishment with live music, open beyond legal hours, selling alcohol past permitted times, and providing alcohol to persons under 20. They collected evidence before taking legal action.

Inside the venue, numerous customers were present with live music and alcohol sales ongoing. Inspection revealed the venue lacked licenses to operate or sell alcohol, exceeded legal operating hours, and admitted 13 minors under 20 years old. Authorities separated and verified information, contacted guardians, and followed legal procedures to protect the minors. Urine tests on 77 patrons found no drug traces.

Officials arrested the venue manager and charged him with four offenses: 1. Operating a service without a license; 2. Selling alcoholic beverages without a license; 3. Selling alcohol to persons under 20 years old; and 4. Encouraging or allowing minors to behave inappropriately.

Authorities seized related evidence and handed the suspect and seized items to investigators at Pho Klang Police Station for prosecution. They also filed complaints against the business owner for legal action.

Moreover, these actions violate the National Council for Peace and Order’s Order No. 22/2015 dated 22 July 2015, constituting clear legal and regulatory breaches. Officials will propose that the Nakhon Ratchasima governor take appropriate measures.

Officials will continue efforts to regulate entertainment venues, prevent minors from involvement with vice and drugs, and ensure public safety and order in line with government and Ministry of Interior policies under Operation 90 Days: the 90-Day Plan to Eradicate Drugs, continuing with serious commitment.
