The lawyer representing Wat Pa Adulyaram accompanied the abbot to give a statement to investigators in the temple trespassing case. He revealed that "Aunt Dara's lawyer" has contacted the police after receiving the second summons but has not yet scheduled a date to meet.
At 11:00 a.m. on 2 Sep 2026 at the Muang Kao Sub-Police Station, Mueang Khon Kaen District, Khon Kaen Province, Phra Kru Adul Saranithet, the abbot of Wat Pa Adulyaram, together with Mr. Kowit Saengsakon, the temple's lawyer, met with Police Lieutenant Colonel Punnarit Thranantaset, deputy investigation chief of Mueang Khon Kaen Police Station and head of the investigation team, regarding the case of Wat Pa Adulyaram. This meeting was scheduled to give a statement about the incident when Aunt Dara and her group trespassed on the temple grounds on 10 Aug 2026, to collect evidence for the case.
Mr. Kowit Saengsakon, the temple's lawyer, said today he accompanied Phra Kru Adul Saranithet, abbot of Wat Pa Adulyaram, to give a statement to the police regarding the case filed about the trespassing on 10 Aug 2026. The abbot also had to provide information about other issues, including the temple’s origins and details about the day of the incident: what happened, who was involved, and what the abbot knew.
The lawyer added that, upon inquiring about the case progress, he learned that investigators are currently gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses who saw the incident. Regarding the second summons issued to Aunt Dara, the lawyer said the police have sent it and Aunt Dara’s lawyer has already contacted authorities but has not yet indicated when she will come to give a statement as requested.
Regarding Mr. Woradet Changbu, news reports indicate he will not apologize to the abbot of Wat Pa Adulyaram. According to Mr. Ananchai, after waiting the stipulated seven days, if he still does not come, the Klongtham Foundation will proceed with legal action according to the law.
