On 6 September 2026 GMT+7, reports stated that on the evening of 5 September, Narong Thepsena, Governor of Ubon Ratchathani, presided over the opening of the "Shrimp Parade" event, a natural phenomenon occurring once annually at Kaeng Lamduan within the Ubon Ratchathani Nature and Wildlife Study Center in Nam Yuen District, Ubon Ratchathani Province. The event was attended by Thitiworada Thepsena, President of the Ubon Ratchathani Red Cross Chapter, government officials, the Nam Yuen District Chief, community leaders, residents, and numerous tourists.
