On 24 Sep 2026 at 14:33, the Facebook pageof the Surin Provincial Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Officeposted a public announcement warning that Saet Jok Dam (Bu Ampao Dam), Village No. 4, Bak Dai Subdistrict, is currently overflowing with water, and a continuous flow of water is coming down.
They urged residents with homes and farmland near the water flow and lowland areas to be extra cautious and closely prepare to handle the situation, as flooding may occur.
Residents are advised to keep following official updates continuously and prepare to move belongings, livestock, and valuables to safe places. If the situation worsens, everyone should remain vigilant and ready to face the incoming floodwaters.
Meanwhile, the Surin Provincial Police warned of high floods in Phanom Dong Rak District and announced a 100% road closure on the Ban Run–Ban Phanom Din route.
They stated that today (24 Sep 2026) at 13:00, Phanom Dong Rak Police Station reported an emergency flood situation due to rising water levels affecting main routes and local residents.
