Hat Yai Municipality Declares Green Flag as Overall Water Situation Returns to Normal with Light Rainfall

The latest update: Hat Yai Municipality has declared a "Green Flag," indicating that the overall water situation in the area has returned to normal. Residents are advised to closely monitor the situation. Rain clusters have been detected moving from Na Mom District into Hat Yai, expected to be light to moderate rain.

18 December 2025 GMT+7 19:00 GMT+7 Hat Yai Municipality's Facebook page published Statement No. 7 regarding the flood situation in the Hat Yai municipal area.

Following heavy rainfall, especially along the Khor Hong mountain range, Khlong Rian, and Khlong Hua basins, Hat Yai Municipality, in cooperation with relevant agencies, has managed water jointly. They coordinated with the Songkhla Provincial Governor to downgrade the warning from Yellow Flag to Green Flag. Current water levels in various canals are as follows:

1. U-Taphao Canal

  • Ban Muang Kong: 4.96 meters below embankment
  • Ban Bang Sala: 5.66 meters below embankment
  • Ban Hat Yai: 4.99 meters below embankment

2. Hua Canal: 2.63 meters below embankment

3. Toey Canal: 3.15 meters below embankment

4. Khlong Rian Monkey Cheek retention area: 2.00 meters below embankment

Overall, the water situation in Hat Yai Municipality has returned to normal, indicated by the "Green Flag."
