
In Krabi, a man saw his wife get into another car and tried to call for her to roll down the window, but she drove away. He then drew a gun and fired nine shots, causing loud bangs and bullet casings scattered across the street. Police are urgently pursuing the suspect to bring him to justice.
On 9 Mar 2026, reporters reported that at 13:27, a tense incident occurred along Phetkasem Road in front of Ao Luek Hospital, within the Ao Luek Tai Municipality, Ao Luek District, Krabi Province. A man fired nine consecutive shots with a handgun in the middle of the road before fleeing the scene on a motorcycle. No one was injured or killed.
After the incident, Lt. Warakorn Srisawat, Deputy Investigation Officer of Ao Luek Police Station, along with the investigation team and forensic officers from Krabi Province, examined the scene on Phetkasem Road, a commercial and residential area opposite Ao Luek Hospital. They found nine 9mm bullet casings on the road. About 200 meters away on the opposite side, they found one bullet head lodged in the front wheel of a Honda sedan registered in Krabi, which was collected as evidence.
Ms. Kanokporn Intrachud, the car owner, said that at the time of the incident, she had parked the car by the roadside and had not yet gotten out. She heard rapid gunfire and initially thought it was firecrackers. Then she heard something hit the car and later realized it was bullets fired during the incident. Fortunately, the distance from the shooting point prevented serious damage to the car.
A nearby shop owner said that during the incident, while attending to business in the shop, he heard multiple gunshots. When he rushed outside to see, the suspect was already gone. He did not know what had happened beforehand.
Police preliminary investigation revealed the incident stemmed from jealousy. The suspect, nicknamed “See,” was riding as a passenger on a motorcycle with a friend to find his wife. He saw her get into another sedan, whose occupants were unknown to him. He approached and knocked on the car window, but no one opened it and the car drove away. The suspect then fired nine shots at the car but did not injure or kill anyone. Police are now gathering evidence to apprehend the suspect and proceed with legal action.
