At 17:17 on 6 Apr, Lieutenant Jaruwit Juabkwamsuk, deputy investigator at Phuket City Police Station, received a report of a person shot with an unknown caliber firearm and seriously wounded, admitted to the emergency room at Mission Hospital Phuket on Thepkrasattri Road, Ratsada Subdistrict, Mueang Phuket District. Mr. Jakrit Panmee, a friend of the victim, told police that Mr. Wirat and Mr. Prakit were coworkers at the retail and wholesale store. After Mr. Prakit shot Mr. Wirat, who was lying injured in the warehouse, Mr. Wirat called him. He then rushed to the scene and took Mr. Wirat to the emergency room at Mission Hospital Phuket. The shooting is believed to have stemmed from an argument and fight at the workplace.

. . Evidence from CCTV inside the warehouse recorded the incident. The footage shows Mr. Prakit approaching Mr. Wirat, seemingly speaking to him, then drawing a firearm and shooting once. Mr. Wirat tried to flee, clutching his abdomen and chest. Mr. Prakit chased him and appeared to fire a second shot from a distance but missed. He continued pursuing Mr. Wirat before fleeing the scene. Authorities are expanding the investigation by interviewing Mr. Wirat to determine the motive and are actively pursuing Mr. Prakit to bring him to justice.
