ThaiBev Joins Kathina Ceremony for Ban Pueang Wat Phuket to Support Needy Patients

ThaiBev executives led a delegation to participate in the Kathina ceremony of the project"Ban Pueang Wat Phuket"in Phuket Province to raise funds for building accommodations for needy patients and their relatives during treatment at Vachira Phuket Hospital.

On 9 Jul, reporters reported that Thai Beverage Public Company Limited, or ThaiBev, led by Mr. Thapana Sirivadhanabhakdi, Chief Executive Officer, along with advisors, executives, and employees, participated in the Kathina ceremony of the Ban Pueang Wat Phuket project at Wat Khao Rang Samakkhi Tham, Phuket Province, to raise funds for constructing accommodations for patients and relatives who travel for treatment at Vachira Phuket Hospital. Devotees from various sectors and the people of Phuket joined to make merit for building this house of hope, which will help extend life, give breath, and offer opportunities to those fighting illness.

Mr. Thapana said the intent of the Ban Pueang Wat Phuket project is primarily to assist patients and families by providing suitable lodging during treatment.He expressed his great pleasureto be part ofcreatingsocial value and passing on opportunities to those in need. The Kathina ceremony is a collective merit-making event by devoted Buddhists, reflecting the power of giving and sharing that strengthens Thai society.

The Ban Pueang Wat Phuket project builds upon the original Vachira Banphot building initiated by Phra Kru Banphot Saratham (Father Than Khai)at the house on the foothill of Khao Rang Tham.The Sirivaddhanabhakdi Foundationand ThaiBev,together with devotees from various sectors, continue this effort, aiming to help reduce the financial burden for needy patients and relatives during treatment at Vachira Phuket Hospital. The project targets housing about 100 patients and relatives in a peaceful, comfortable, and safe environment during their stay. Patients and relatives can stay according to the referral duration and receive meal support from leftover rice from Wat Khao Rang Samakkhi Tham to help reduce expenses. The Kathina ceremony raised donations totaling 5,785,215 baht. Devotees can contribute via the Ban Pueang Wat account at the Government Savings Bank, number 0-204-8133-2086, with receipts eligible for one-time tax deduction. The project maintains clear, transparent fund managementand is auditable,with quarterly financial reports to ensure every baht is usedfor the maximum benefit of patientswho are truly needy.
