At 09:48 on 23 August 2026, the State Railway of Thailand announced the temporary closure of the railway section between Mue Rabo and Tan Yong Mas stations in Narathiwat Province after security and engineering officials discovered damage to the concrete sleepers of the railway track caused by a sabotage bombing the previous night.
Currently, the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team and security forces are jointly scanning the area to ensure maximum safety before railway officials begin repairs to restore normal service as soon as possible.
The Internal Security Operations Command Region 4 Forward Headquarters requests passengers traveling this route to check train status with the State Railway of Thailand or call the railway hotline at 1690 before departure. They also urge close attention to announcements and to report any suspicious objects or clues about perpetrators to the ISOC Region 4 Forward at hotline 1341, available 24 hours.
