On 23 August 2026, at the Yala Governor’s residence in Mueang District, Yala Province, Kongsakool Chantrach, Governor of Yala, together with Lieutenant General Apinan Jamjaeng, Commander of Yala Task Force, and Police Major General Kongart Suwankham, Commander of Yala Provincial Police, called an emergency security meeting.
