In Phang Nga Province, continuous rainfall caused a landslide that blocked Khao Tha Kadai Road, the route connecting Kapong and Thai Muang districts. Authorities are urgently clearing the area to reopen traffic and have warned the public to avoid the route.
Due to ongoing rain in Kapong District, Phang Nga Province, a landslide occurred from Khao Tha Kadai Mountain in Lam Phi Subdistrict, Thai Muang District, covering the road surface at kilometer 23 + 800 on the route connecting Thai Muang and Kapong districts. This poses a risk to residents using this route. The incident occurred at 16:30 on 17 October 2026.

On 18 October 2026, reporters confirmed that Phuket Highway District, Thai Muang and Phang Nga road maintenance units promptly deployed heavy machinery to remove soil and rocks from the landslide site to expedite reopening the road for safe public travel.
