Officials are rushing to clear the area after a mudslide overwhelmed the Na Nai community in Pa Tong Subdistrict caused by flooding, damaging homes and several vehicles. They are deploying machinery, including backhoes, to dig out the mud and open drainage paths.

On 26 Oct 2026, continuous heavy rain across Phuket Province caused severe flooding in many areas, especially in Pa Tong Subdistrict, Kathu District. At Na Nai Alley along Phisitkornnee Road, flash floods flowed down from the high mountains near 50th Year Road, bringing mudslides that covered parked cars and motorcycles in front of houses. The mud also flooded inside homes along Na Nai Road, causing widespread damage to residences and property.

Pa Tong Municipality temporarily closed traffic on Na Nai Road to wait for the rain to ease and water levels to fall before clearing the area. Romdon Hayaewa, Deputy Governor of Phuket acting as Governor, along with Lalita Maneesri, Mayor of Pa Tong Municipality, Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Center officials of Phuket Region 18, and related agencies, promptly led and monitored the situation on site.

Pa Tong Municipality established a relief center and opened three temporary shelters for affected residents at the Pa Tong Municipality Office, Wat Suwannakeereewong School, and Patong Bayhill Hotel in Pa Tong Subdistrict, Kathu District, to accommodate and support those impacted.
