Biography of Chaiyanat Dechadecho
Mr. Chaiyanat was born on 14 June 1986 GMT+7. His nickname is "Tan" He is the eldest son of Mr. Withoon and Mrs. Kanokporn Dechadecho, Chairperson of the Women's Development Committee of Nakhon Si Thammarat Province and former President of the Nakhon Si Thammarat Provincial Administrative Organization. He has three younger brothers: Mr. Phitchitchai Dechadecho, Mr. Phitakdech Dechadecho—an MP for Nakhon Si Thammarat and Deputy Spokesperson of the Democrat Party—and Mr. Pongdech Dechadecho.
Mr. Chaiyanat stated that he is married to Ms. Chadalak Worapong (nickname "Tukta") and they have three children. His wife is also listed as a partner in Triple T 2017 Limited Partnership and serves as secretary to the Committee on Commerce and Intellectual Property, appointed on 26 October 2023 GMT+7. In 2023, the couple declared assets totaling 173,592,108 baht and liabilities of 69,042,388 baht.
Mr. Chaiyanat completed secondary education at Benchamarachuthit School, Nakhon Si Thammarat. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Master of Arts in the same field from Ramkhamhaeng University. He also completed the National Defense College’s executive course for future leaders, Class 1, alongside Ms. Phathongtharn Shinawatra, the Prime Minister.

Additionally, Mr. Chaiyanat has faced allegations submitted by Mr. Chao Meekuad, a lawyer and former Deputy Spokesperson of the Democrat Party, along with Ms. Aranya Chantadee, lawyer for the complainant Mr. Nares Wongsetthakul. They have petitioned the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) to investigate whether Mr. Chaiyanat committed serious ethical violations related to an incident where he allegedly assaulted a local businessman during a Buddhist ordination ceremony and attempted to use his position to pressure the victim to withdraw the complaint.
