‘Teng’ Reveals Using System to Sweep Flood Data from Social Media, Sorting 20,000 Messages for Aid to Victims

The leader of the People’s Party revealed that volunteers and developers use a flood data sweep system, extracting data from social media and employing AI to sort 20,000 messages by risk groups, patients, and help request coordinates, then forwarding the information to assist victims.

On 25 Nov 2025 GMT+7, Natthaphong Ruengpanyawut, party-list Member of Parliament and leader of the People’s Party, posted on Facebook Natthaphong Ruengpanyawut - Natthaphong Ruengpanyawut, stating thanks to the volunteer team, Tact AI, and Hatyai Connext for their development efforts. “A system to sweep data from social media” to transform it into structured data entered into the jitasa.care system.

Natthaphong stated that due to many posts and comments requesting help, with many still waiting for aid at the affected sites, the volunteer and developer team worked overnight to sweep data from social media. They used AI to sort patients, risk groups, contact numbers, and help request coordinates, with volunteers verifying and screening data before forwarding it into jitasa.care for field teams to assist. The most essential current task is centralizing aid data so that all sectors—government, volunteers, and civilians working on the ground—see consistent information, avoid duplication, prioritize, and provide targeted help.

Natthaphong added that overnight, volunteers and developers sorted and forwarded over 20,000 messages from multiple platforms into the system. He plans to travel to the area today to follow the real-time situation on the ground and to help fill and support the most urgent needs.
