Thai Sang Thai urges the Minister of Digital Economy to order Thailand Post to open donation points to assist flood victims in Hat Yai and to expedite integration of warning and communication systems for rapid response.
On 25 Nov 2025 GMT+7, Pariyes Angurakit, spokesperson for the Thai Sang Thai Party, called on the Minister of Digital Economy and Society (DE) to urgently instruct Thailand Post (THP) to open donation points and deliver essential goods immediately to the major flood-affected areas in Hat Yai District and the southern region.
Pariyes noted that key shelters, such as Prince of Songkla University (PSU), currently hosting over 1,000 victims, still require food, drinking water, blankets, and other essentials. Opening donation points through THP would enable the public to quickly and conveniently send aid to victims at various shelters.
Additionally, the Thai Sang Thai spokesperson emphasized that the Ministry of DE should integrate information and communication technology systems to provide timely warnings and disseminate information to the public. This includes Cell Broadcast, mobile communication devices, and data linkage systems between agencies to maximize the effectiveness of relief efforts.
Pariyes demanded that the Minister of DE act immediately on all fronts, both by managing communication systems and supporting Thailand Post in forwarding supplies, to ensure the public’s confidence that the ministry is fully engaged in relief efforts.
