Flooding in Phatthalung: Peerapun Distributes 1,000 Survival Kits, Urges RTSC MPs to Fully Support Victims

Peerapun visited flood-affected areas in Phatthalung, distributing 1,000 survival kits to more than 500 households, and urged Nitisak, MP for Phatthalung from the Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party, to fully support the victims.

25 Nov 2025 GMT+7 Mr. Peerapun Saleerathwipak, leader of the Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party (RTSC) along with party executives such as Mr. Chuenchop Kongudom, deputy party leader; Mr. Wisut Thammachet, deputy party leader; Mr. Siam Bangkultham, party membership registrar; Ms. Sasikan Wattanajan, deputy party spokesperson; and Mr. Nitisak Thammachet, RTSC MP for Phatthalung District 2, visited Punthe subdistrict, Khuan Khanun district, Phatthalung province to monitor the flooding situation in the south. They also brought 1,000 survival kits to distribute to over 500 households.

Peerapun stated that the major flooding this year is a natural disaster in the southern region, more severe than in previous years. Last year, he, along with Wisut and Nitisak, inspected and actively worked to push water out to Thale Noi Lake. However, this year's situation is even worse. The natural disaster is not limited to Phatthalung but affects many southern areas, especially Hat Yai district in Songkhla province, which has been heavily impacted, as well as Satun province, which has faced severe flooding despite not having floods for many years. He expressed gratitude to Nitisak's team in Phatthalung for their strong and continuous support to the people, especially Wisut Thammachet, president of the Phatthalung Provincial Administrative Organization and deputy party leader, and Nitisak, MP for Phatthalung District 2, who have earned the trust of residents to fully serve in both parliament and locally.

"Nitisak has regularly reported the situation in the area to me, showing constant concern for the people. Additionally, Wisut has coordinated and cared for the people with me throughout. The need to prepare for future disasters is clear; this event serves as a lesson for all parties to consider in advance. Although the flooding in Phatthalung is less severe than in some provinces, prevention through effective management and strong coordination with provincial authorities is necessary. I planned to travel to Hat Yai district in Songkhla province, but due to reports of difficult travel conditions and rising water levels, I have decided to postpone the trip. I confirm that for Punthe subdistrict in Khuan Khanun district, Phatthalung, and other affected areas, my team and I are fully prepared to provide assistance and care in all possible ways."
