Prime Minister Vows to Protect Thailands Dignity, Responds to Political Accident Questions

Prime Minister Anutin firmly forbids any infringement, degradation, or damage to the dignity of the nation and Thai people. He denies setting a deadline for Cambodian residents to leave Ban Nong Chan before the parliament is dissolved, and says to "fasten your seatbelt" when asked about political accidents.

3 Dec 2025 GMT+7 Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, gave an interview at the Santimaitri Building, Government House, regarding whether the removal of Cambodians from Ban Nong Chan in Sa Kaeo Province would be completed before the parliament is dissolved. He said the military is handling it; it is unrelated to the dissolution of parliament because it concerns national security.

When asked if there was a set deadline requiring them to leave before the parliament dissolves, the Prime Minister emphasized that these matters are unrelated. When it comes to national security and sovereignty, there is no timeframe. But sovereignty means no encroachment, no degradation, no damage to dignity, no harm to Thai people, and this matter is unrelated.

Reporters pressed further. They asked whether there would be no political accident on 12 Dec 2025. The Prime Minister replied, "Fasten your seatbelt." Regarding whether the Pheu Thai Party signaled it would not submit a no-confidence motion, Anutin waved his hand in refusal and said he had not yet discussed it but assured they continue working daily and can face any situation.

On whether no no-confidence motion means the government will remain until 31 Jan 2026, Anutin said, "It will not be beyond 31 January, that's all." When asked if the Pheu Thai Party submits a no-confidence motion, Anutin said if it is submitted, the process will proceed according to the constitution and established procedures.
