
The government is counting down to the 33rd SEA Games, announcing Thailand is 100% ready as the host. The public is invited to reserve free tickets for the opening ceremony on 9 December via the official website www.seagames2025.org.
On 4 December 2025, Ms. Airin Panrit, Deputy Spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, stated that Thailand, as the host of the 33rd SEA Games, is fully prepared. The Ministry of Tourism and Sports, together with related agencies assigned by the government, is counting down to the final stage before the competition from 9 to 20 December 2025. The event includes 50 sports with a total of 574 gold medals, plus 3 demonstration sports and 1 value-creating sport. The games will be broadcast live more than ever before, with the National Broadcasting Services of Thailand (NBT) serving as the main broadcaster.
Ms. Airin added that on 9 December 2025, Mr. Kanpimuk Phuwakul “BamBam” is scheduled to perform at the opening ceremony of the 33rd SEA Games at Rajamangala National Stadium, alongside several other Thai artists, with a big surprise planned for the Thai public on the day. The government, through the Sports Authority of Thailand, has opened free ticket reservations for the opening ceremony via the official website. www.seagames2025.org.
