“Tan Jitpas” Monitors Sirinat National Park Area Organization and Tourist Care Readiness

Tan Jitpas, Advisor to the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, visited Sirinat National Park in Phuket to oversee area organization and rescue readiness to care for tourists during the high season.


At 10:00 a.m. on 5 Dec 2025, Mr. Suchart Chomklin, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, assigned Ms. Jitpas Tan Kridakorn, Chairperson of the Advisory Committee to the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, along with Mr. Prasert Sirinapaporn, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, and Mr. Ukrit Satapoomin, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources, to visit Sirinat National Park, Saku Subdistrict, Thalang District, Phuket. They monitored the operations of affiliated agencies and gathered information on natural resources and environmental issues in the area. The team observed rescue demonstrations by the park staff, including land rescue using ropes and pulleys and water rescue techniques. They also received briefings on general emergency rescue operations from the staff to assess capabilities and preparedness for assisting residents and tourists in emergencies.

Ms. Jitpas explained that the visit aimed to follow up on the progress of area organization within Sirinat National Park and to check readiness to care for tourists as the Andaman tourism high season approaches. She presented survival kits to staff from Sirinat National Park, the park's rescue center 6 in Phuket, the Marine National Park Operations Center 2 in Phuket, and Khao Phra Thaeo Wildlife Sanctuary. She emphasized the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment's policy stance on protecting natural resources while supporting tourism to sustain Phuket's environmental quality firmly and sustainably.
