Chaiwat launched the Rak Chart Party, promoting the image of a "Startup Political Party," emphasizing frustration with traditional politics and engaging young people and influencers to drive progress.
At 1:00 p.m. on 10 Dec 2025 GMT+7, the Rak Chart Party held a press conference to introduce the new political party under the concept "The New Political START-UP" at the front plaza of Tim Hortons, Samyan Mitrtown, announcing the party's image "Startup Political Party" intended to propel Thai politics with the energy and ideas of the younger generation.
The event atmosphere was lively, featuring a startup-style presentation in a public space at the heart of Samyan area to reflect the party's approachable identity targeting young people. A highlight of the event was the "Tuk-tuk launch parade." The event included appearances by famous influencers such as Nut Nisamanee, a beauty blogger from the “Sabat Prang” page, Thammachat, a talented creator and influencer, and Dr. Nut, a TikTok creator from the Spark Update channel with over 4.7 million followers, who acted as the MC, adding vibrancy to the occasion.
Additionally, the event featured a “Parliament talk” performance and introduced the party leader, Mr. Chaiwat Thanakmanusorn, former Minister of Digital Economy and Society, who began by eating a boiled egg on stage as a symbol of sufficiency. He spoke about his 20-plus years in politics, observing the same politicians or executives repeatedly, often relatives across different parties, which he believes has hindered national development. Therefore, he trusts in the younger generation who love the country and want progress. "I believe in the younger generation. I have talked with them—they want me to be a vital bridge for the country's development. I've spoken with many seniors and faced criticism, such as being asked if I have funding. I replied that I don’t have capital because if I did, I’d be beholden to it and wouldn’t truly serve the people," said Mr. Chaiwat. He added that he refuses to support any form of corruption and calls on the people’s power to jointly advance their dreams and hopes, believing in the strength of young people.
Moving forward, there will be activities to launch The New Political START-UP, gathering party members to collectively reflect on problems and political visions. All shared the view that Thailand must move beyond the old political structure, which is rife with patronage, conflicts of interest, and capital influence, preventing politics from effectively serving the people.
Party leaders and members stated that Thai society faces persistent issues including economic inequality, declining education standards, gender inequality, systemic corruption, inefficient budget use, as well as digital crime and scammers that the government has yet to effectively address. The sentiment "Choosing anyone feels the same" has caused many young people to lose hope in politics.
The event also introduced the party's executive committee members, including:
