On 11 Dec 2025 GMT+7, reporters reported that the Pheu Thai Party's Facebook announced the schedule to unveil the party’s prime ministerial candidates on 16 Dec at 10:00 at the Pheu Thai Party headquarters. The event will present the vision framework "Revamping Thailand, Pheu Thai Can Do It!" which will be the main direction to address the country's crises both now and in the long term through scientific thinking, based on verifiable data and grounded in practical feasibility.
The Pheu Thai Party's prime ministerial candidates include Mr. Yotchanan Wongsawat, son of former Prime Minister Somchai Wongsawat and Mrs. Yaowapha Wongsawat. Another candidate is Mr. Chulphan Amornwiwat, MP for Chiang Mai and party leader. The third candidate will be an external expert specializing in economics, whose confirmation is currently pending.
