Retired Police Lieutenant Colonel Chalerm has joined the Palang Pracharath Party. General Prawit personally welcomed him warmly and they shared a meal together, accompanied by Wan Yubamrung.

Retired Police Lieutenant Colonel Chalerm Yubamrung former party-list Member of Parliament for the Pheu Thai Party, came to meet General Prawit Wongsuwan, leader of the Palang Pracharath Party, to submit his application for membership of the Palang Pracharath Party, with General Thammarak Israngkul Na Ayudhya, chairman of the advisory board of the Palang Pracharath Party, also welcoming him, along with Mr. Wan Yubamrung, party executive and son of Retired Police Lieutenant Colonel Chalerm, who accompanied him. They then shared a meal together. It was reported that in the 2025 general election, Retired Police Lieutenant Colonel Chalerm will run as a party-list candidate for the Palang Pracharath Party.
