Kanveer Suebsang has submitted his resignation from the Pentham Party to prepare for launching the Phonlawat Party, where he will be the prime ministerial candidate. He confirmed his readiness to join the government only, regardless of who leads it.
On 12 Dec 2025 GMT+7, at the Election Commission office, Kanveer Suebsang, a Pentham Party member, submitted his resignation letter to the Election Commission. He stated that he resigned to join a new political party named Phonlawat, formed by like-minded practitioners. He is the party leader, joined by friends. The party is registered in Suphanburi Province and ready to field candidates in all 300 constituencies. The official launch will take place on 15 Dec at the party office in Suphanburi, followed by another launch event in Bangkok.
Kanveer explained that he decided to leave Pentham Party and form a new party independently because over the past two years, no party met his ideals or those of international practitioners. Seeing no party capable of this, he established a small party confident it can compete. Former 26th-term MPs who share the same ideals and practical experience will join. They will exclude MPs with differing views or no practical experience. Kanveer will be the prime ministerial candidate.
He affirmed that Phonlawat is not an alternative party but a survival party aiming to lead Thailand toward goals valued by all Thai people. The party is clear about advancing to be part of the executive branch, emphasizing cooperation with the government because the public is waiting. Opposition alone is insufficient. Their expectation is to join the government, depending on election results. Although a small party, they are confident. The launch event will showcase the achievements and work of party members.
Reporters noted that throughout the day at the Election Commission office, members of various political parties came to submit resignations to join new parties, preparing for the upcoming election. For example, Kosol Patama resigned from the Pheu Thai Party to join the Bhumjaithai Party.
