Thanakorn countered Julaphan, saying that even after parliament dissolution, the government can continue working. He criticized the Pheu Thai party as only adept at destructive criticism, adding that after two months, the Thai people can distinguish who is genuine and who is fake.
On 12 Dec 2025 GMT+7, Thanakorn Wangboonkongchana, Minister of Industry, sharply responded to Julaphan Amornwiwat, leader of the Pheu Thai party, who accused the government of dissolving parliament to avoid investigation and abandoning border and flood problems for the people to suffer. Thanakorn affirmed that despite the dissolution, the government remains caretaker, state mechanisms continue, and it can still manage beneficial actions for the public. He noted especially that the military retains full authority to oversee the border situation.
“It’s understandable that the Pheu Thai party specializes in destructive criticism. Previously, they urged the government to dissolve parliament quickly, but now that it has happened, they reverse their stance, accusing the government of causing suffering to the people,” Thanakorn said, mocking the party. He added that if Pheu Thai has nothing constructive to say, they should stop speaking aimlessly like a ghost possessing someone, confusing the public.
Regarding Julaphan’s claim that in the past two months the Bhumjaithai party has been consolidating power and transferring civil servants for advantage, Thanakorn rebutted that Julaphan should not imagine excessively or assume other parties behave like his own. He said that over the past two months, the public has witnessed the government’s sincere and decisive problem-solving, especially a leadership that never resorts to secret backdoor negotiations. He believes Thai people can clearly distinguish what is genuine and what is fake, which parties act on their words, which only talk, and which governments are decisive or commit serious ethical violations—these truths are evident to all.
