On 13 Dec 2025 GMT+7, Lieutenant Commander Nara Khuntohom, Assistant Navy Spokesperson, disclosed during a joint Thai-Cambodian border situation press briefing that the area of Koh Yor in Koh Kong Province, Cambodia, houses two 130mm gun bases that pose a threat to Thailand's naval forces in the area. Therefore, the Navy launched an operation to destroy these military strongholds on Koh Yor Island and will conduct a damage survey today.
