Government Transfers Flood Relief Funds to Over 1.07 Million Households in Southern Thailand, Continues Disbursement Efforts

Siripong revealed that the government has transferred flood relief funds to over 1.07 million households in nine southern provinces and is accelerating ongoing aid efforts to help citizens.

On 13 December 2025, Mr. Siripong Angkasungkij, spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, disclosed progress on disbursing lump-sum flood relief payments of 9,000 baht per household for the 2025 rainy season, categorized into four types as follows:

1) Permanent residence flooded for no more than 7 days with property damage.
2) Permanent residence flooded for more than 7 days.
3) Permanent residence surrounded by floodwater causing disruption to normal living for more than 7 consecutive days.
4) Permanent residence in a multi-story building where floodwater did not reach the occupant’s floor, but normal living was disrupted for more than 7 consecutive days.

Siripong stated that as of 13 Dec 2025, the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation and Government Savings Bank have made 11 transfers (on 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 12 Dec 2025) to households in nine southern provinces—Songkhla, Trang, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Narathiwat, Pattani, Phatthalung, Yala, Satun, and Surat Thani—totaling 1,071,755 households and 9,645,795,000 baht.

Specifically, Songkhla province has received 334,671 households (including 160,694 in Hat Yai district), Trang 8,540 households, Nakhon Si Thammarat 215,055 households, Narathiwat 74,642 households, Pattani 86,275 households, Phatthalung 92,375 households, Yala 65,918 households, Satun 25,625 households, and Surat Thani 7,960 households. There are 17,019 households with unsuccessful transfers due to irregular bank accounts and data updating is underway. Relevant agencies will expedite the disbursement process as soon as possible.

Citizens who have not yet linked their PromptPay accounts to their ID numbers are urged to do so promptly at any bank to ensure swift relief payments. The public can check their flood relief payment status for the 2025 rainy season at https://flood68.disaster.go.th/Dashboard/BoardHelpRegister by entering their identification card number.
