Amnat Charoen Tensions Rise as Somying Posts Clip Exposing Suksomruay, Who Explains She Just Asked After Being Sued Persistently

Tensions are rising in the influential Amnat Charoen family as Somying Buabut posted a clip showing Suksomruay Wantaneeyakul rushing toward her at the airport. Suksomruay explained from her perspective, saying she simply approached to ask why, at her age, Somying continues to create enemies for her descendants after relentless lawsuits.

On 14 Dec 2025 GMT+7, Mrs. Somying Buabut, former Amnat Charoen MP from the Pheu Thai Party, posted on Facebook a video showing Mrs. Suksomruay Wantaneeyakul, former Amnat Charoen MP from the Bhumjaithai Party, approaching her and saying: "I've only ever seen villains in dramas, but this is the first time I've seen a villain in parliament—a prominent politician from Amnat Charoen flaunting influence and power to intimidate the public. Truly remarkable."

Later, Mrs. Suksomruay posted on Facebook a clarification from her perspective as the "person affected," speaking candidly. She addressed misunderstandings caused by the clip and messages posted by Somying Buabut, aiming to provide complete and fair information for the public.

In the 2023 election, Mrs. Suksomruay ran for MP under the Bhumjaithai Party, while Mrs. Somying ran under the Pheu Thai Party.

The election results showed that Mrs. Somying lost to Mrs. Suksomruay by nearly 20,000 votes.

After the election, Mrs. Somying filed nearly 20 complaints against Mrs. Suksomruay with the Election Commission (EC) on various issues. During the EC's investigation, Mrs. Suksomruay presented full facts, evidence, and truthful information. The EC took over a year to investigate before concluding:

All complaints were found baseless and dismissed entirely. Nevertheless, despite the EC's ruling, Mrs. Somying continued to pursue the same cases by filing lawsuits in court.

The incident shown in the clip occurred on 5 Dec 2025 GMT+7 at 17:12 at Ubon Ratchathani Airport.

At that time, Mrs. Suksomruay was waiting to collect her luggage when she saw Mrs. Somying approaching. Holding lingering grievances from past actions, she waited and straightforwardly asked, "Why do you keep filing complaints? The parliament is about to be dissolved, and you’re running again. You’re old—why create enemies for your descendants?"

Mrs. Somying replied, "That’s my right."

The facts confirmed by the clip show no physical contact, no assault, and no threats or harassment. Passersby were moving normally.

If there had been threats or violence, why did no one seek help at the time? And if threats were made, audio recordings or evidence could be presented.

Mrs. Suksomruay’s stance is that she speaks frankly and keeps her word—what she says, she means and acts upon.

Her approach of walking up to ask questions is not provocation, harassment, or violence, but direct questioning about what the other party is doing—#AskingAboutWhatYouAreDoing.

The clip clearly shows no touching or threats, only straightforwardness from a genuine person—no lies, no playing the victim to gain attention. If confident in one’s correctness, one should answer questions boldly. She reiterated that whenever Mrs. Suksomruay meets Mrs. Somying, she will ask candidly, because the truth never changes.

Recently, Mrs. Somying posted another clip on Facebook, stating: "Look at the body language, behavior, and demeanor of someone with great influence and power. This incident happened on 5 Dec 2025 GMT+7 at about 17:15 at Ubon Ratchathani Airport. Knowing full well, she stood there waiting—clearly not for political gain but because she was truly affected, as shown in the video."
