
Bangkok Metropolitan Administration held a joint meeting with the Bangkok Election Commission Office to prepare for the general election of Members of Parliament in all 33 constituencies in early February 2026, aiming to ensure the process is orderly and legally compliant.
On 14 Dec 2025 GMT+7, at the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration Hall, Mr. Thanit Tanbuaklee, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Bangkok, together with directors of all 50 districts and related officials, met with Mr. Samphan Saengkhamlert, Director of the Bangkok Election Commission Office, and his team to prepare for the general election of Members of Parliament. This meeting focused on the BMA's role in supporting the election management, as Bangkok is divided into 33 constituencies.
Mr. Thanit Tanbuaklee, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Bangkok, stated that today's meeting was urgent and demonstrated readiness to conduct the upcoming election smoothly, transparently, and fairly. The candidate registration is expected to open in late December 2025, with the election scheduled for early February 2026. The meeting covered preparations in several areas, including appointing election committees and constituency election directors, establishing coordination centers in each constituency, designating registration and polling locations both inside and outside constituencies, and providing facilities for people with disabilities and the elderly. It also addressed staff training, preparation of election materials at each polling station, and secure storage of ballots before and after election day. The BMA is fully committed to supporting the Bangkok Election Commission Office to enable citizens to exercise their voting rights conveniently, safely, and effectively.
