Prime Minister Biaw and Son Manatsanan Join Bhumjaithai Party, Many Former Pheu Thai MPs Follow

The influential Thanyaburi faction abandons Pheu Thai as "Prime Minister Biaw" and his son "Manatsanan" join Bhumjaithai Party, with many former Pheu Thai MPs following. Meanwhile, Anutin looks upward when asked about being the number one party and says, "We give our all, we fight hard."  "Biaw" is a nickname.

On 15 Dec 2025 GMT+7 at Bhumjaithai Party headquarters, Kritsada Leenawarat, former mayor of Thanyaburi, along with Manatsanan Leenawarat, former Pheu Thai MP for Pathum Thani, arrived to join Bhumjaithai Party. Their arrival coincided with Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, also party leader, finishing a media interview before ascending to the party's second floor, where they were welcomed and briefly conversed.

At the same time, Sudarat Pitakkhpornpalop, former Pheu Thai MP from Ubon Ratchathani, also came to the Bhumjaithai Party office to register as a party member, in line with her earlier intentions.

Subsequently, Anutin and Naphin Sriphang, Minister attached to the Prime Minister’s Office and a Bhumjaithai party leader, welcomed new members and presented party shirts to applicants such as Manatsanan, Pitcharat Laopongchana, former Ruam Thai Sang Chart MP, Atthaphon Wongprayun, Khunthong Saenwiset, former Saraburi Pheu Thai MP, Sombat Yasinthorn, former Mae Hong Son Democrat MP, Kriangkrai Kittithanesaworn, former Nakhon Nayok Pheu Thai MP, and Narakorn Na Muangrak, former Roi Et Pheu Thai MP.

Reporters asked Anutin whether the large number of prospective MPs would be accommodated by available constituencies. Anutin did not answer the question. When asked if this meant the party would become the top-ranked, he neither answered but smiled and looked upward.

Reporters pressed further, asking about former Chartthaipattana Party leader Warawut Silpa-archa’s confidence that Bhumjaithai would return as the leading coalition party. Anutin responded, "We give our all, and we must fight hard."

When asked whether he would return as prime minister, Anutin did not answer, instead smiling at reporters and immediately heading up to the party offices.
