Timeline for 8 Feb 2026 Election: Voting and Candidate Registration from 27-31 Dec

The Election Commission has resolved to hold the nationwide House of Representatives election on 8 Feb 2026, with advance voting on 1 Feb and candidate registration from 27-31 Dec 2025.

On 15 Dec 2025, at the Election Commission office, the commission approved the draft plan for the House of Representatives election as proposed by the office. Sunday, 8 Feb 2026 is set as the election day for the House of Representatives, with advance voting on Sunday, 1 Feb 2026, including polling at designated stations for persons with disabilities or the elderly. Candidate registration for constituency MPs will be held from 27-31 Dec 2025 at locations designated by constituency election directors. Party-list MP registration will take place from 28-31 Dec 2025, limited to parties that have already nominated constituency candidates, during which parties must also submit their prime ministerial candidate lists at the Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao, Bangkok.

The commission also set the registration period for advance voting rights—both within and outside constituencies, including abroad—from 20 Dec 2025 to 5 Jan 2026.

Notifications of inability to vote may be submitted between 1-7 Feb 2026 and 9-15 Feb 2026. The Election Commission will send these announcements to the Secretariat of the Cabinet for publication in the Government Gazette promptly.
