Pheu Thai unveils “Yotsanan, Suriya, Chulanpun” as three prime minister candidates representing veteran, mid-career, and new generations on 16 Dec.
On 15 Dec 2025, reporters from Pheu Thai reported that the party’s three prime minister candidates to be revealed on 16 Dec 2025 at the “Revamping Thailand, Pheu Thai Can Do It” event include Mr. Yotsanan Wongsawat, son of former Prime Minister Somchai Wongsawat and Mrs. Yaowapha Wongsawat. He represents the new generation, is an academic, and has conducted research on Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) technology to assist people with paralysis whose brains still function, based on cases involving motorcycle accident victims.
The other two candidates are Mr. Suriya Juangroongruangkit, Pheu Thai’s election director, a seasoned politician who has served asDeputy Prime Minister,and minister of several ministries. He has been with Pheu Thai since the Thai Rak Thai era and is widely respected within the party.
The third candidate is Mr. Chulanpun Amornwiwat, Pheu Thai party leader, a mid-career politician with knowledgeand capability,able to debate on behalf of Pheu Thai and who has ministerial experience.
All three prime minister nominees will present their visions and unveil the party's initial policy lineup at the event.
