Pheu Thai introduced Chulapan Amornwiwat as its prime minister candidate, promoting urgent policies "Retirement Lottery" and "Debt Relief" to unlock reforms for Thailand that enable citizens to have food, dignity, and respect.
On 16 Dec 2025 GMT+7, the Pheu Thai Party held the event “Revamping Thailand: Pheu Thai Can Do It” to officially unveil their prime minister candidate. Key party leaders attended, including Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, former prime minister and head of the Pheu Thai family, and Mr. Suriya Juangroongruangkit, the party's election director.
Mr. Chulapan Amornwiwat, leader of the Pheu Thai Party, was introduced as the first prime minister candidate, declaring readiness to lead the party’s major mission to “revamp Thailand” for a better future. He emphasized that in a democracy, the people should have food, necessities, dignity, and respect.
The party leader added that two urgent policies would be implemented immediately: the "Retirement Lottery," targeted for completion within the first three months of government, aims to transform gambling into a long-term security guarantee; and "Debt Relief," which covers informal debts, non-performing loans (NPL), farmers, elderly retirees, and also supports good debtors.
Mr. Chulapan concluded that economic figures alone cannot reflect inequality and the hardships faced by the people. Therefore, Pheu Thai volunteers to create savings guarantees, relieve debts, and generate new income because they believe only Pheu Thai can truly revamp Thailand.
