The Air Force spokesperson refutes false Cambodian reports, affirming the use of precision-guided weapons to strike only military targets and revealing the destruction of numerous BM-21 rockets.
On 16 Dec 2025 GMT+7, Air Force spokesperson Air Marshal Jakkrith Thammavichai issued a statement countering Cambodian claims that Thai air operations caused many injuries and deaths. He confirmed the Air Force focuses solely on military targets and prioritizes civilian safety first.
The Air Force spokesperson confirmed that every attack uses precision-guided munitions to minimize damage and avoid affecting nearby communities or civilians. Recently, they destroyed weapon stockpiles, ammunition, and explosives to prevent Cambodia from using arms against Thai forces and civilians. Yesterday’s operation successfully destroyed a large number of BM-21 rockets, significantly reducing Cambodia’s military capabilities.
Air Marshal Jakkrith also stated that the Air Force operates systematically and reports only outcomes that can be clearly verified. He emphasized that every mission aims to protect Thai sovereignty and citizens, with target selection undergoing careful multi-step review before execution.
