
The Cabinet has approved toll-free use of the Burapha Withi Expressway and the Kanchanaphisek Expressway (Bang Phli - Suksawat section) during the New Year festival from 30 December 2025 to 5 January 2026, a total of 7 days.
On 16 December 2025, Ms. Airin Panrit, Deputy Spokesperson of the Office of the Prime Minister, announced that the Cabinet acknowledged the exemption of toll fees as per the Ministry of Transport's announcement setting toll rates for the Burapha Withi Expressway and the Kanchanaphisek Expressway (Bang Phli - Suksawat section) during the New Year festival 2026, as proposed by the Ministry of Transport.
No toll fees will be collected on the Burapha Withi Expressway and the Kanchanaphisek Expressway (Bang Phli - Suksawat section) during the New Year festival 2026, from 30 December 2025 to 5 January 2026, totaling 7 days. Traffic volume on these expressways is expected to reach about 2,378,341 vehicles. This will cause the Expressway Authority of Thailand to lose approximately 87,214,841 baht in revenue but yield an estimated economic benefit of about 136,668,014 baht. This benefit includes vehicle operating cost savings of 80,539,242 baht and travel time savings valued at 56,128,772 baht, totaling approximately 136,668,014 baht.
