On 16 Dec 2025 GMT+7, after the Criminal Court ruled on the "Sor Dor 43 document case"—a military qualification certificate—the Office of the Attorney General's Criminal Case Division 5 prosecuted Jiratt Thongsuwan, former MP for Chachoengsao Constituency 4 from the People's Party. He was found guilty of forging and using forged official documents and entering false information into a computer system. The court sentenced him to 2 years imprisonment without suspension for using forged official documents and entering false data, but acquitted him of forging official documents charges.
The People's Party commented that Jiratt has the right to prove himself through the judicial process, which still includes the appeals and cassation stages. The party will not interfere with the case.
Regarding candidacy, Jiratt had already decided not to seek re-election. His wife, who has campaigned and worked closely with local residents alongside him, has expressed her intention to run for election under the People's Party banner.She mustgo through the party's selection process without receiving any special privileges.
Reporters said that Praewnapas Thongsuwan, Jiratt's wife, has been selected by the People's Party to stand as the candidate for Member of Parliament in Chachoengsao Constituency 4, replacing Jiratt.
