
The Chart Pattana Party is splitting as former MPs defect to the Bhumjaithai Party, prompting a management meeting on 18 Dec. Teerawut admits small parties face difficulties continuing and says any conclusion will require further party discussions.
On 16 Dec 2025 GMT+7, Mr. Teerawut Liptapallop, leader of the Chart Pattana Party, revealed the party plans to discuss its political direction on 18 Dec at the residence of Mr. Suwat Liptapallop, party chairman. The initial assessment is that small parties struggle to continue, but any final decisions will require further internal talks.
Reporters noted that the Chart Pattana Party has called a meeting of its members in Nakhon Ratchasima Province but has not specified the agenda or whether the meeting is preparation for the upcoming election.
Regarding the party's MPs, specifically the two district MPs, former Nakhon Sawan MP Mr. Prasat Tanprasert of Chart Pattana has resigned from the party and joined the Bhumjaithai Party. He has also expressed his intention to run for Nakhon Sawan MP under Bhumjaithai.
Reporters also reported that Mr. Prasat has informed Mr. Suwat of his decision and attended a Bhumjaithai party meeting on 15 Dec. Following discussions with Bhumjaithai leaders, he is expected to be nominated as a candidate in the upcoming election.
Meanwhile, Mr. Wutthipong Thonglao, former Prachinburi MP of Chart Pattana,also appears likely to switch party affiliation..
