
Palang Pracharath unveiled former Kalasin MP from Bhumjaithai, “Prapa Hengpaiboon,” who joined with her entire family. Teerachai and General Thamarak welcomed her, assuring the public that the party genuinely works for the people.
At 11:00 a.m. on 18 Dec 2025 GMT+7, General Thamarak Isarangkun Na Ayutthaya, advisor to Palang Pracharath, and Mr. Teerachai Phuwanatnaranubala, party deputy leader and prime minister candidate, led the team. They introduced the prospective Palang Pracharath candidates for the House of Representatives. At the Palang Pracharath headquarters in the Bang Pho area, the launch included: Ms. Prapa Hengpaiboon, former Kalasin MP for Constituency 4 from Bhumjaithai, known as the 'Elephant Slayer' for defeating a 5-term incumbent in the last election, joined Palang Pracharath along with Mr. Supasit Hengpaiboon, Mr. Paphat Hengpaiboon, and Mr. Phadung Nongpong, former news editor, who plans to run in Constituency 5 of Pathum Thani.
Mr. Teerachai said today is an important day for Palang Pracharath, gaining experienced and capable members to help develop Thailand’s politics alongside the party. He assured the public that the party’s policies will address Thailand’s future needs. In the short term, this includes resolving conflicts along the Thai-Cambodian border and addressing the economy as it faces increasing difficulties. Long term, the party aims to lead changes and development toward a sustainable national structure.
“On behalf of the party leader, I welcome all quality candidates from Kalasin and assure the public that from now on, Palang Pracharath will work sincerely for the people,” he said.
The reporter added that Ms. Prapa was one of three Bhumjaithai MPs who previously voted against the party line to support the Pheu Thai Party’s withdrawal of the Entertainment Complex Business Act draft bill from the House’s consideration.
