On 18 Dec 2025 GMT+7, reporters from the Kla Tham Party (KTP) reported that after two sons of Mr. Det-ism Khaothong, former secretary-general of the Democrat Party, registered as party members on 17 Dec, namely Mr. Wongwatchar Khaothong, who is slated to run for the Songkhla constituency 5 parliamentary seat replacing Mr. Det-ism, and Mr. Baramee Khaothong, designated candidate for Songkhla constituency 6 replacing Ms. Supaporn Kamnerdphon, former Songkhla MP for the Democrat Party,
Latest reports state that Kla Tham Party leaders met with Mr. Det-ism on 17 Dec and concluded that Mr. Saksit Khaothong, former Songkhla constituency 9 MP for the Democrat Party, who had initially decided to remain with the Democrats, has now chosen to join Kla Tham Party and will run in his original constituency.
