"Mai" Sirikanya revealed the reason for pushing constituency MPs to switch to the party list to counter the 44 MPs involved in the Section 112 case. Although confident, she remains cautious and appeals for over 250 votes to resolve accusations of being a "supporting faction." ,
On 18 Dec 2025 GMT+7, Ms. Sirikanya Tansakul, former MP of the People’s Party (PChn), spoke about the party’s direction after the election, announcing a landslide goal to form a single-party government. She outlined mechanisms to handle potential legal risks for party members. The party focuses on teamwork with responsibilities divided into four main areas: new security, economy, quality of life, and civil service reform. She also appealed to the public for votes, aiming for more than 250 seats to confidently form a single-party government.
"We do not want to shift quotas back and forth. So please choose us to be the single-party government. Although it is an ambitious goal, we will strive to achieve it to ensure smooth policy implementation," Ms. Sirikanya said. Regarding the case of 44 MPs under investigation by the National Anti-Corruption Commission for proposing amendments to Section 112, the party has prepared a plan by having some constituency MPs switch to run on the party list, allowing adjustments in ranking if political incidents occur.
Ms. Sirikanya added, "We try to close all risks but that does not mean we admit guilt. We remain confident in our innocence and are ready to fully fight the case. We understand that many things in this country may not be straightforward." Regarding Deputy Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul’s comment that the People’s Party is a "supporting faction" for the old power bloc, Ms. Sirikanya sees this as mere election-season smear. "No one supports anyone. If we still supported each other, this would not have led to parliament dissolution and elections. We can clearly explain to the public what happened, and we are certainly not the supporting faction as alleged."
