Independent Progressive Party Holds General Assembly Kachaporn Highlights Indy Team as Volunteer Hub Assisting Citizens

The Independent Progressive Party held its general assembly, with Kachaporn highlighting the "Indy Team" as a volunteer hub helping citizens. The party pushes to strengthen the economic and business sectors and to create financial independence for the people.

At 10:45 a.m. on 18 December 2025, the Independent Progressive Party held its 2025 second annual general meeting at the Auditorium Conference Room, 2nd floor, Centara Life Hotel, Government Complex and Convention Center, Chaeng Watthana, amid lively atmosphere with party members and supporters attending.. This reflects interest in the party's political direction.

Ms. Kachaporn Veroj, leader of the Independent Progressive Party, reaffirmed the party's commitment to drive national change through new ideas and political forms. She said the party is the first in Thailand to unite volunteers nationwide. She herself has volunteered for 29 years, helping local communities. The party does not want the usual politicians or elites, but ordinary people with a volunteer spirit like theirs. They seek a new political institution "not for playing politics, but one that truly works for the people."

The party therefore seeks people with prior volunteer experience, as volunteers are always ready to work in any situation. Thus, the Independent Progressive Party (INDY) has a volunteer team called the "Indy Team." Ms. Kachaporn welcomed people of all genders, ages, and professions to join the "Indy Team," emphasizing it is not only for youth, since everyone is Thai.

She asked members to be confident and pass on to future generations that this is the first political party in Thailand that does not divide by color; the party's symbol is the rainbow, representing diversity of gender and age.

"So why should we divide by color? We are not playing team sports here; this is Thailand. I ask all members to jointly build morality and constructive politics, to create a political institution that supports the people, not one for political games. We come to do political work to care for the people from top to bottom by building a strong economic and business sector to oversee spending and create financial independence for people in middle and lower levels. The party will focus on the economy, society, living standards, and security. Please understand the Independent Progressive Party's concept and our Indy Team today." Ms. Kachaporn said.

The meeting included both morning and afternoon sessions, chaired by Mr. Manoch Unhakankit, with Mr. Rungrong Rungrongrak as secretary of the meeting.. The meeting covered elections for the Independent Progressive Party executive committee, member endorsement of the party committee list, and elections for the parliamentary candidate selection committee.
