Monnaporn Advocates Household Debt Relief Policy, Urges Nakhon Phanom Voters to Elect Pheu Thai Candidates for Provincial Majority

Monnaporn Charoensri promotes electing Pheu Thai candidates to sweep Nakhon Phanom province to form a majority government and advance household debt relief policies, citing former Prime Minister Thaksin's successful resolution of IMF debt.

On 18 Dec 2025, Monnaporn Charoensri, former MP for Nakhon Phanom's 2nd district and Deputy Leader of Pheu Thai, spoke to local residents endorsing Pheu Thai candidates Dr. Phumipat Pachonsap (former MP for district 1), Thanakorn Praneenit (candidate for district 3), and Dr. Chanchai Khamchampa (candidate for district 4). She emphasized Pheu Thai's key policies: infrastructure development, drug problem resolution, career promotion, economic and trade growth, and tourism. She stressed the necessity of household debt relief policies, noting that during Pheu Thai's two years in government, they addressed debt issues and supported citizens, including farmers, restoring trade liquidity, investment, employment, and income growth. Therefore, supporting Pheu Thai to form a majority government to continue tackling debt problems is essential.

Monnaporn acknowledged that the party had not governed for over 10 years but, within two years in office, pushed all policies to drive Thailand amid economic crises causing rising prices and living costs, increasing citizen debt and difficulty earning income. Pheu Thai has consistently worked to ease debt burdens. The ongoing policy to continue is debt relief for people with informal debts through Government Savings Bank and BAAC, allowing loans of 50,000 baht each without guarantors. Additionally, there is a policy to resolve bad debts with state banks up to 200,000 baht by requiring only 10 percent repayment. The government also assists farmers by suspending principal and interest payments for three years. Over two years, they have helped more than 600,000 farmers with loans up to 300,000 baht each. If elected again, the loan limit will increase to 500,000 baht.

. Asked about funding, she affirmed that a capable government would manage finances well without causing more public debt. She cited former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra's government successfully managing and resolving IMF debt, pulling Thailand out of crisis and restoring its standing in ASEAN. Now is the time to unite and elect Pheu Thai candidates across every province to form a majority government, continue all policies, and advance household debt relief so citizens have jobs, careers, and increased incomes, improving quality of life and stimulating the country's economy, trade, and tourism.
