2026 Election The Election Commission (EC) emphasizes registration channels for "advance voting" starting 20 Dec 2025, with the first registration day until 5 Jan 2026. Advance voting will take place on 1 Feb in-district, out-of-district, and overseas.
On 19 December 2025, reporters reported that following the Election Commission's announcement of the general election date for the House of Representatives on Sunday, 8 February 2026, the EC has opened registration for eligible voters to apply for advance voting. Applications are accepted from 20 December 2025 to 5 January 2026. The advance voting day is set for 1 February.
1. Submitting an application to the district registrar, local registrar, or to the ambassador or authorized representative. Applications are accepted from 20 December 2025 to 5 January 2026 during official working hours.
2. Submitting an application by mail from 20 December 2025 to 5 January 2026, with the postmark date considered valid.
3. Submitting an application via the internet (only for advance voting at central polling stations outside the district and for overseas voting). Online applications are accepted 24 hours daily from 20 December 2025 to 5 January 2026. The system will automatically close at 24:00 on 5 January 2026, Thailand time.
4. Central polling station locations within districts, outside districts, and facilities for disabled or elderly voters will be announced before 20 December 2025.
Additionally, the EC allows electronic notification of valid reasons for being unable to vote on election day. Notifications must be made at least 7 days before or within 7 days after election day (click to notify inability to vote ).
