On 19 Dec 2025, reporters reported that following the Election Commission's announcement of the general election date for the House of Representatives on Sunday, 8 Feb 2026, the Commission has opened registration for eligible voters to apply for advance voting before election day. Registration is open from 20 Dec 2025 to 5 Jan 2026, with advance voting scheduled for 1 Feb.
1. Submitting an application to the district registrar or local registrar, or submitting an application to the ambassador or a person authorized by the ambassador, from 20 Dec 2025 to 5 Jan 2026 during official working hours.
2. Submitting an application by postal mail from 20 Dec 2025 to 5 Jan 2026, with the postmark date considered valid.
3. Submitting an application online (only for advance voting at central polling stations outside the electoral district and for overseas voting) available 24 hours from 20 Dec 2025 to 5 Jan 2026. The system will automatically close at 24:00 Thai time on 5 Jan 2026.
4. Central polling locations for in-district, out-of-district, and for persons with disabilities, the elderly, or the infirm will be announced before 20 Dec 2025.
Additionally, the Election Commission allows electronic notification of reasons for inability to vote in the House of Representatives election. Such notification must be made at least 7 days before the election or within 7 days after election day (click to notify inability to vote ).
