Anutin declared that Thailand will surely win and emphasized support for the military standing shoulder to shoulder to protect sovereignty after conservative groups stormed the Bhumjaithai Party to present flowers in encouragement for their border defense duties.
On 19 Dec 2025 GMT+7, a group of loyal citizens committed to defending the land and upholding the monarchy, including crowds from Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Singburi, Lopburi, Saraburi, Phetchaburi provinces and the People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD), delivered an open letter to Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul regarding the protection of sovereignty and maintaining Thailand's dignity against foreign aggression. The letter stated that on behalf of the people who uphold nation, religion, and monarchy, they wish to express concern and send support to the Prime Minister regarding the tension and unrest occurring at the Thai-Cambodian border in two matters.
1. We support the government's performance under your leadership, which has acted with determination, caution, and prioritizing the nation's interests in protecting Thailand's sovereignty and territorial integrity. From the threatsposed by foreign forces, the government has made every effort to resolve the situation andmaintainoverall peace for the people.
2. We send encouragement and express confidence in the Prime Minister in steadfastly carrying out the crucial mission of defending sovereignty and preserving the nation's honor and dignity—heritage passed down and protected by ancestors with utmost sacrifice. We offer our moral support for you to perform these duties with strength, composure, and dignity for the benefit of the country and its people. Respectfully yours.
The Prime Minister thanked everyone who came to offer support to him, the government, and the military. He said their statements serve as morale boosters for those working to defend the country's sovereignty. He believes this will strengthen their determination because the people form a massive protective wall behind them at all times. Therefore, they will never be defeated.
Regarding the fight, response, and handling of those invading the country, he saidhe wants to assure the public thatthey work closely with the military and commanders of various branches. Never before have military leaders expressed doubt. Whenever asked, the answer is always that they will never lose. He prefers not to say "win" since they are not aggressors but a fun-loving country unwilling to be invaded. When asked if they are afraid, the answer is no; when asked if they are ready, the answer is yes, said the military who claim to be more than ready.
He affirmed that in such a situation, the Prime Minister is also a Thai citizen who will not allow anyone to invade their sovereignty and must be ready to support and fightside by sidewith every soldier. Everyone can be confident that their operations have hit every target and should bring the situation under control. He avoids saying "end" because ending with many losses is undesirable. They strive to avoid losing any Thai lives or others and will do their best. He assures that they will definitely win.
Afterwards, the crowd shouted together, "Prime Minister, keep fighting!" and presented flowers to encourage the Prime Minister.
Additionally, reporters noted that at the Bhumjaithai Party, the public group brought flowers and held the national flag as a symbolic expressionof their demonstration to protectthe country's sovereignty.
