Julapan Consults Thewan on Former Chart Pattana MPs Joining Pheu Thai to Strengthen Nakhon Ratchasima Ahead of 2026 Election

Julapan Amornwiwat met with Thewan Liptapallop, leader of the Chart Pattana Party, to discuss former MPs joining the Pheu Thai Party to strengthen the party's base in Nakhon Ratchasima province for the 2026 election, after Suwat Liptapallop announced that Chart Pattana will not field candidates this time.


At 13:53 on 19 Dec 2025 GMT+7 Mr. Julapan Amornwiwat, leader of the Pheu Thai Party, and prime ministerial candidate, posted a photo shaking hands with Mr. Thewan Liptapallop, leader of the Chart Pattana Party, along with a message onFacebookstating “Today I met and discussed with Mr. Thewan about the political direction following the dissolution of parliament and the upcoming election. The discussion went well amid intense political competition and the need for strong, stable political parties.”

They agreed on the next steps, planning further meetings so that prepared Chart Pattana party staff and personnel can apply to join Pheu Thai and consider running as candidates under Pheu Thai's banner, concluding that this team will help strengthen the party in Nakhon Ratchasima province and nationally, for the benefit of the people and the country moving forward.

A reporter added that on 18 Dec 2025 GMT+7, Mr. Suwat Liptapallop, chairman of the Chart Pattana Party, stated after a party executive meeting that “Chart Pattana will not field candidates in this election. This term, we will pass. The party still exists, but it is up to former MPs and party leaders to decide on their next steps.”
