Pheu Thai has nominated Rungphet Srikanchana to contest the Nong Bua Lamphu parliamentary seat against Chaiya Phromma, who left the party and is preparing to launch with the Kla Tham Party.
On 19 Dec 2025 GMT+7, Pheu Thai reported that it is now clear that Chaiya Phromma, former MP for Nong Bua Lamphu, will definitely move to join the Kla Tham Party. Previously, senior party leaders, aware of this rumor, tried to contact Chaiya for clarification so the party could prepare a replacement candidate, but Chaiya consistently denied these inquiries.
However, now that Chaiya has left the party, it clearly shows his intention to impact Pheu Thai’s candidate preparations. With Chaiya’s position confirmed, Pheu Thai will nominate Rungphet Srikanchana, a former candidate for Nong Bua Lamphu MP from the Thai Sang Thai Party, to run against Chaiya as their official candidate.
