At 18:00 on 19 Dec 2025 GMT+7 Chaiya Phrama, former Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives and former MP for Nong Bua Lamphu District 2 from the Pheu Thai Party (PT). Posted a message viaFacebookFollowing rumors about his decision to join the Kla Tham Party (KTT), he said: “With respect and gratitude to the people, today is one of the most difficult days in my political life. I want to inform the public and respected seniors that my decision to resign from Pheu Thai is due to the necessity of political work in Nong Bua Lamphu province, not for any personal gain.”
Throughout my nine terms as a representative and 24 years with Pheu Thai, this party has been like a home where we shared hardships and joys, fought side by side through all situations. I have remained loyal to my political ideals and never forgotten the kindness of the party and all seniors who gave me the opportunity to serve the people to the best of my ability, with utmost respect and gratitude.
He added that this decision was made after careful thought and reflection. As a representative of the people, especially farmers in his area who face hardships in livelihood, income, and quality of life, he has always pushed policies to help them and local residents. He once had a short tenure as Deputy Minister of Agriculture before being removed.
“I honestly admit that I have not fully fulfilled the trust given by the farmers. Today, I choose a path that allows me to closely care for their livelihoods. I did not choose a large popular party but one that truly addresses farmers’ problems. Although the route may change, my heart and commitment to serving the people remain unchanged. My old home is always remembered, comrades in ideals remain in my heart, and I will fight for farmers and people here with all my strength as long as I have the chance, with love and respect.”
