Pheu Thai Party opened its doors to welcome Thewan Liptapanlop and his Korat team, strengthening the party ahead of the announcement of candidates for all 400 constituencies on 25 December.
On 20 December 2025 at the Pheu Thai Party headquarters, Mr. Chusak Sirinil, Deputy Leader of Pheu Thai, along with Mr. Prasert Chanruangthong, Party Secretary-General, welcomed Mr. Thewan Liptapanlop, former leader of the Chart Pattana Party, and his team including Mr. Prasert Boonchaisuk, Mr. Watcharaphol Tomornsak, and Mr. Sombat Kanjanawat. This followed Chart Pattana Party's decision not to field any candidates in the election, after which Mr. Thewan resigned and officially joined Pheu Thai Party.
Mr. Chusak stated that Pheu Thai Party is grateful and pleased to welcome everyone, believing that Mr. Thewan’s political experience and his team will significantly strengthen the party in Nakhon Ratchasima province.
Meanwhile, Mr. Prasert Chanruangthong, Pheu Thai’s Secretary-General, revealed that the party is fully prepared for the upcoming election and will field candidates in all 400 constituencies nationwide. The full slate will be announced on 25 December. He warmly welcomed Mr. Thewan and the Korat candidates, describing them as key assets to help Pheu Thai win seats in Nakhon Ratchasima’s electoral districts. He also emphasized that this reinforcement will enable the party to more effectively advance policies for the people.
Mr. Thewan said that after Chart Pattana Party decided not to field candidates, members wishing to continue political work were given freedom. He consulted with his team, all of whom have been working consistently in the area, and after discussions with Pheu Thai’s leadership, they saw joining Pheu Thai as a way to unify and strengthen political power in Nakhon Ratchasima.
“My team and I are grateful to Pheu Thai Party for opening the door to work together. We are confident that our three districts will earn the trust of the people in this election,” he said.
