The People's Party held a battle flag-raising event to prepare for the 2026 election, announcing confidence in winning all Bangkok parliamentary seats. The goal is to secure 250 seats to push for forming a people's government. "Kai Nattacha" expressed confidence that our candidates fully meet qualifications and asked the public to trust them.
On 20 Dec 2025 GMT+7, reporters reported that under the "battle flag-raising" campaign to prepare for Bangkok's victory, the People's Party organized a meeting for discussion and exchange of political work perspectives, along with team-building activities in a friendly atmosphere to plan the future together. They invited Sarayut Jaithak, Secretary-General of the People's Party, Nattacha Boonchaiyasinsawat, former MP for Bang Khun Thian, and prospective People's Party candidates for West Bangkok to exchange views with local residents.
Sarayut said that since the Future Forward Party's founding with the key goal of building a Thailand where supreme power belongs to the people, he is confident that those joining the party share this aim. Although years have passed and some worry over polls showing declining popularity for the People's Party, he personally, having known the party for a long time, remains confident it will grow stronger, citing indicators such as a 30% increase in membership, 96 million baht in donations from hundreds of thousands of people, and popularity rising from 10% to 20–30%.
"Therefore, saying we can win the election is not impossible. Looking at these figures, it is feasible. But success depends on all of us who come to help. Change will not come from just a few leaders; victory must come from all of us. I am confident that having over 100,000 members and donors is a vital force that will certainly make the target of 250 seats a reality."
Sarayut added that problems like scammers and shadowy funds are squeezing ordinary Thais in all aspects, causing severe declines in quality of life. He mentioned that even mothers of MPs have been defrauded of millions of baht. These issues stem from power that is not linked to the people but controls the country's direction, with patronage systems allowing such individuals to enter. Thus, this election is critical, representing a 15-year opportunity for the people to decide who will form the government. He urged not to worry about popularity ratings, emphasizing that the most important factor is public awareness. He is more confident this round than before, but how far they go depends on every citizen.
"When the election comes, it will be a real opportunity for change, because elections allow participation to push for happiness."
Meanwhile, Nattacha said that in the last election, the Future Forward Party, now the Move Forward Party, succeeded in becoming the number one party with 151 MPs in parliament. However, obstacles prevented the top party from forming the government. This time, the new goal is to form a people's government successfully. Therefore, the first step starting here is to invite the people to join together to complete this mission, since voting is the most cost-effective way to change the future. He urged people to once again be natural vote leaders.
Then, prospective MPs from West Bangkok introduced themselves and expressed their determination to represent the people. At one point, in the Chom Thong-Bang Khun Thian district, Nattacha took the opportunity to apologize to the public and ask for another chance because this district had issues during the Future Forward era with traitors and during the Move Forward era with sexual harassment complaints.
Later, Nattacha told reporters that in the last Bangkok election, the party won 32 constituencies and expects to add one more to make 33 this round. Many media said sweeping all Bangkok seats was impossible, but they achieved this in the last election. Therefore, in this election, he believes Bangkok residents will continue to support the party's candidates and policies, as they have a management team, three prime minister candidates, and a deputy prime minister candidate already unveiled, which will give voters more options.
. Nattacha confirmed confidence in winning all 33 Bangkok constituencies this election. Having reviewed all 33 candidates, he is confident they are fully qualified and capable of earning the trust of Bangkok residents to represent them effectively.
